What is the Futures Forum PRoject?
Good question. The Futures Forum Project is an integrated approach to Inquiry and Project-Based learning. Grade 10 Academic English, Civics and careers are taught in conjunction, with a focus on student engagement through authentic learning activities. Learning is centered around the "4 Any's": Anyone, Anything, Anytime, Anywhere.
The students in FFP will collaborate with one another and peers from other schools online through a variety of projects. While the students will follow the Ontario curriculum, there will be a focus on developing their 21st century skills through the use of technology and Web 2.0 tools to further prepare them for the future.
In this course, students will use communication skills (English) to promote themselves (Careers) as they make a difference in the world (Civics).
